Letters from Editor Letters from Editor Dear Reader, January ushers in a the new year. As the APIC Text’s incoming Co-Lead Editors, we, that is Ranekka Dean, PhD, RN, CIC, FAPIC , and Saskia Popescu, PhD, MPH, MA, CIC , could not be more excited for 2024. In the spirit of introductions, Dr. Dean previously served six years as an APIC Text Clinical Editor. She is System Senior Director of Infection Prevention and Control at NYU Langone Health, in addition to her role as a Research Assistant Professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Dr. Popescu has served APIC in numerous capacities and is a Senior Fellow at the Council on Strategic Risks and an Assistant Professor within the College of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. This year is off to a great start. We expanded the APIC Text’s team in 2024 and are prepared to tackle new challenges with 12 Clinical Editors and 18 Associate Section Editors. The Text published six revised chapters in January alone, including an exciting new chapter: 13. B: Inferential Statistics . Revisions don’t stop there.
